Ever wondered what it takes to start a new Rotary club? Curious what all the buzz is about cause based clubs? A new video series put out by the Rotary Big West Zones 26 & 27 called “Expanding Our Reach” looks to answer those questions and more.
Assistant Rotary Coordinator for Zone 27 Corey Lopardi is the host of this new series where each month he interviews the movers and shakers across the Rotary Big West who’ve started new and innovative Rotary clubs in the last couple of years. The first episode features Brian Rusch, the charter president of the Rotary Club of Global Action District 5150, who discusses just how new e-clubs and cause based clubs are making an impact in the world and attracting a new diverse community of Rotarians. Another episode will feature District 5020’s very own Amy & Geoff Schmidt who started the Kitsap Crossroads Rotary Club.
“I really want Rotarians to be able to see just how exciting it can be to start a new Rotary club,” Corey says. “I really think if Rotarians see that the people starting new clubs across the Big West are just like them, then maybe they’ll realize that they can start a club as well. Even if they don’t think a new club is needed in their area, the ideas that are coming out of these new clubs are really fresh and exciting. That’s why I wanted to share these interviews with more than just District Governors or District Membership Chairs, the stories I’m hearing should be inspiring to all Rotarians.”
To make the whole experience more accessible to Rotarians, the interviews are not only available to view as videos, but they have been turned into podcasts as well.
Videos in the series are available to view HERE and the podcast version is available at this LINK as well as on Spotify, Google Podcasts, RadioPublic, Pocket Casts and more by searching Expanding Our Reach.
