Olympia Rotarians have worked hard the past two years to bring several events to fruition to celebrate our Centennial.
The festivities begin with the Rotary-supported Lakefair races this summer. Please come out and participate with us on Saturday, July 17. To learn more or register for a race, please visit https://www.olympialakefairraces.org/. The Centennial Art Project is our gift to the Community in celebration of our 100 years of service. The unveiling of the artwork is on Friday, September 10 at Olympia’s Port Plaza with a dedication ceremony at 3:00 p.m. We encourage all who may be interested in attending the dedication, meeting the artist, and seeing this beautiful artwork.
That same evening, our Centennial Celebration dinner will be held at the Hotel RL at 5:30, the exact date of our 101st anniversary. Our keynote speaker will be Rosemary Aragon, a leader in Rotary District 5030 and Rotary International. She will provide her perspectives on the future of Rotary. The cost of the evening is $100 per person, and tickets may be purchased on the Club’s website at www.olyrotary.org using the Centennial Dinner tab.
Our history is intertwined with so many local and district Clubs. We are indebted to Tacoma #8 for sponsoring our Club in 1920. We would love to have all local Rotarians join us to celebrate 100 years of service to the Community.
