POLLINATOR GARDEN ON EARTH DAY

Shelton Skookum Rotarians celebrated Earth Day by helping to construct a Pollinator Garden near the Civic Center in Shelton. It was a multi-organizational work party consisting of The City of Shelton, Mason County Conservation Corps, Youth Connection, The Farmers’ Market, Skookum Rotary, and friends.

The project consisted of building paths, constructing raised garden beds, shoveling wood chips and dirt, as well, as planting dozens of trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.

The weather looked somewhat iffy to begin, but we mainly stayed dry and dirty except for those who worked in the puddles and mud!
