We are honoured to welcome RI President Gordon McInally and Heather to our District this coming August to kick off our 2023-24 District 5020 Rotary Foundation Million Dollar Dinner campaign.
Our goal is to raise $1,000,000 USD in support of the Rotary Foundation, and we are beyond excited to announce that a generous donor in our District has stepped forward to match up to $1,000,000 USD in donations for this effort! Meeting this goal will most certainly create hope in the world!
During the 2024 District Conference at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington, we will celebrate donors who donate new outright cash, min. $10,000 USD, or an increase to a bequest of $10,000 USD or more.
The contributions from this campaign will help secure critical future funding for Rotary grants and programs in our own District and around the world. It is vital that we secure these funds to meet the growing desire of Rotarians to do Rotary district grants locally and Rotary Foundation global grants internationally in District 5020.
Please join us: August 5th in Tacoma, WA, and/or August 8th in Victoria, B.C., to help us kick off the campaign. Come and be inspired by stories from RI President Gordon and Foundation Trustees Larry Lunsford (Tacoma) and Dean Rohrs (Victoria), who will inspire us to support our Rotary Foundation so that all the wonderful projects of Rotary and the Foundation will carry on in perpetuity and leave a lasting legacy for those who follow.
And, if you’ve never had the opportunity to meet an RI President in person, here’s your chance! President Gordon and partner Heather are warm, caring individuals, and both are looking forward to their visit to the District. These are the only two opportunities to meet with them while they are here, so we hope to see as many people as possible attending the events!
Everyone is welcome and it is not necessary to participate in the campaign in order to attend the dinners.
Bonus: for those who are in a position to make a commitment prior to the events, you will be invited to a pre-dinner no-host reception to meet personally with the RI President, his partner Heather and other dignitaries. You will also be entitled to preferred seating at dinner!
