It’s been a Hot Summer in Port Angeles, WA. Members braved the elements and gained summer tans by driving the Boys and Girls Club Nutritional Interns to their designated delivery points. Interns were hired, in part through a Nor’Wester Rotary Club donation, to make lunches and deliver them to six sites in Port Angeles. Over 200 lunches per day were delivered. While driving and assisting the BGC Interns, we learned about their pasts and futures. During the conversation, we learned so much more about these almost young adults and their community.
We also had the challenge of routing out the weeds in our section of the Boys and Girls Club; not sure we prevailed, but it looked much better.
Finally, we are doing our 2nd Pop Up burger stand at the Juan De Fuca Festival of the Arts Concerts on the Pier. Hot Summer, Hot Action!
