Help Feed Pierce County!

Help Feed Pierce County! The Rotary Club of Clover Park will be partnering with The Outreach Program, a national nonprofit organization, to package over 50,000 meals to support Nourish Food Banks of Pierce County. With over 51% of county residents impacted by food insecurity and the high cost of groceries, this one-day project will ensure families have access to nutritious, high-protein food.

This fun, hands-on Rotary service project will be held on Saturday, September 23rd, at the future home of the Lakewood Food Bank (8916 Lakewood Drive SW, Lakewood, WA 98499) with morning (9 – 11 am) or afternoon (1-3 pm) shifts available.

Join District 5020 Rotary clubs, area students, and corporate volunteers to assemble a variety of vitamin-rich meals that will help feed Pierce County. Volunteers are needed; small groups and donations are welcome. The Outreach Program is able to package all ten of their meals for 35 cents each, with a portion of that helping to fund their Children’s Center in Tanzania.

The Outreach Program, founded in 2004, is recognized as a Rotary International Collaborating Organization, having partnered with Rotary clubs and Interact volunteers across the country to package and donate over 11 million meals to local feeding organizations.
