A CHANCE FOR ROTARIANS TO SHOW UP AS HEROES FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY DISASTER

As we face one record-breaking disaster after the other, last year 113 million lost their homes and numbers are projected to grow. ShelterBox continues to work hard to ensure that families receive the life-saving shelter and tools they need to recover after disaster. We take comfort knowing Rotarians and Rotary Clubs are up for the challenge and continue to put service above self to support families in their time of need.

It’s the amazing efforts of Rotarians like you that made it possible for ShelterBox to reach 173,000 people in 2021. To date, 2 million people around the world have felt the impact of our life-changing partnership with Rotary International! Working together means ShelterBox receives incredible financial and logistical support from Rotarians around the world and equally, acts as a catalyst in encouraging more people to become involved with their local Rotary Club. This January, ShelterBox and the Rotary Club of Cebu united in efforts to bring relief to communities in the Philippines devastated by Typhoon Rai, a storm equivalent to a category 5 hurricane. Filipino Rotarians supported logistics, provided 2 trucks to transport aid, and helped with the distribution of aid.

The ShelterBox Hero program is an opportunity for Rotary Clubs across the country to show up as heroes for those impacted by disasters like Typhoon Rai. Last year, 133 Rotary Clubs committed to helping us ensure no family is left without shelter after disaster. We know many Rotary clubs have had to make tough financial decisions this year. Any donation makes a difference, but by donating $1200 (Bronze Hero), $3600 (Silver Hero), or $6000 (Gold Hero) you can ensure that more families have the support that they need on their journey of self-recovery.

We couldn’t do this without you – your contribution allows us to travel further and support those who would have otherwise been left behind. Thank you for sharing your kindness and passion for action.
